As a part of the live webinar series ‘Symbinar’, SIBMH hosted Dr. Vishwanand Pattar, HR Business Partner, Corteva Agriscience Global Services Center, who spoke on the topic ‘Virtual HR Management - Challenges and Opportunities.’ 

Dr. Pattar gave the students insights on how Corteva Agriscience is virtually managing human resources effectively and making sure that the employees aren’t facing any issues in a tough time. He told that the purpose was to increase the productivity of the employees working from home and give off fruitful results. 

The company involved itself in talent acquisition programs virtually and did assessments for their background verification. He told the students that they held virtual Onboarding sessions for the same, every Monday. They also made sure that the employees did not face any issues while working, and also delivered laptops for those who didn’t have one at this time. Medical check-up of the employees when the lockdown eases are another part of the HR plan. Corteva Agriscience, HR Department, as he mentioned, was also doing a training & development program virtually which went for eight hours, and they also engaged with them on chat to allow room for any queries from their side. Performance management through feedback sessions and employee engagement was also being performed by the firm in these tough times of pandemic.
