As a part of the live webinar series ‘Symbinar’, SIBMH hosted Mr. Atulaya Goswami, HR Head, India Sub-Continent, UPL Limited, to discuss “Mergers& Acquisitions and Its Associated HR Practices”. In order to explain the M&A process, he gave an insight from the merger of UPL and Arysta Life Sciences and what makes the coming together of these two firms a dynamic combination as an Indian firm has acquired an American company. He also stated that this partnership has given UPL an edge as strategic come together through this integration. While the M&A process can be long but in this case it was fast. The importance of an integration team was stressed upon to make the merger a smooth process and the role of HR in this context.
