Summary

Event Name: The Sweat and Smile Olympics

Objective: To foster a spirit of camaraderie, promote physical fitness, and create a fun-filled platform for students to engage in friendly competition while embracing the joy of sports and wellness.

Outcome: The event created an environment where students could thrive both socially and physically. The event contributed to a positive and enriching experience for the participants, setting the stage for a successful and fulfilling tenure at SIBM-Hyderabad.

Dauntless– The Sports and Wellness Committee of SIBM Hyderabad, conducted Sweat and Smile Olympics event as a part of Induction Program for the new batch of 2023-2025, on 16th June 2023 at the Futsal Turf from 6:30 AM-7:30 AM.

The "Sweat and Smile Olympics" consisted of several challenges that tested the strength, endurance, and agility of participants. There were six teams, each team was divided with equal number of participants and each team competed against another team in a single challenge. And all the three challenges were being held simultaneously.


The challenges were:

Water Relay:
A relay race where each team member had to run down the futsal turf with a cup of water and pour it into a bucket at the end. The team with the most water in their bucket at the end of the race won.

Push-Up Challenge:
Each team selected one member to complete as many push-ups as possible within a specified time limit.

Plank Challenge:
Each team designated one member to hold a plank position for the longest duration among all teams.

Yoga Pose Challenge:
Each team appointed one member to demonstrate and maintain a specific yoga pose for the longest duration.

Squat Challenge:
Each team chose one member to perform the maximum number of squats within a given time frame.

Sit-Up Challenge:
Each team assigned one member to complete the highest number of sit-ups within a designated time period.

Wall Sit Challenge:
Each team designated one member to hold a wall sit position for the longest duration among all teams.

Lunge Challenge:
Each team selected one member to perform the maximum number of lunges within a specified time limit.

Burpee Challenge:
Each team appointed one member to complete the highest number of burpees within a designated time period.

Mountain Climber Challenge:
Each team chose one member to perform the maximum number of mountain climbers within a given time frame.

Balloon Relay:
Two participants from each teams raced to pass a balloon from one end to another end using only their backs.

All the activities were performed simultaneously to keep the energy high and the competition fierce. All necessary equipment, including water cups, buckets, and balloons were provided. Team Dauntless was on-site to provide necessary guidance and ensure safety.
