Objective: objective of this session is to have an interactive session with the MBA Batch 2022-24 and help get an overview of the Human Resource domain in the corporate world.

Outcome: The session is intended to help them get an understanding of Human Resources in a practical and engaging manner.

The HR club of SIBM-H organized a guest lecture on 15th July, 2023 conducted by Mr. Sekhar Karanam- Alumnus of SIBM Hyderabad. The session commenced with an introduction about the speaker. Further, the participants were asked about their areas of interest in the HR domain. Mr. Karanam also gave us deeper insights on how to approach interviews for our placements. The main topic of discussion was Performance Management Systems. He spoke about the role of an HR Business Partner and the functions covered in this role such as Performance Management System, Rewards & Recognition, Finance, Customers and Learning & Development. Towards the end of the session, he also spoke about the various appraisal methods such as- 360-Degree feedback, Balanced Scorecard, Ranking/ Score/ Force, etc. Overall, the session was highly interactive and engaging and was beneficial in getting an understanding of Human Resources in a practical and engaging manner.
