Event Name: Guest Lecture by Dr. Poulami Ghosh on SMART tool used in PMS

Objective: The objective of this session is to have an interactive session with the MBA Batch 2022-24 and help get an overview of the Human Resource domain and understand the Performance Management system.

Outcome: The session enabled students to understand the SMART tool used in PMS.

The HR club of SIBM-H organized a guest lecture on 17th July, 2023 conducted by Dr. Poulami Ghosh, Chief L&D Consultant. The session commenced with an introduction about the speaker. Further, the participants were asked about their areas of interest in the HR domain. The lecture was proceeded with understanding the SMART tool used for performance management system. The students were divided into groups of 5 and were asked to plan 8 action tasks for controlling lack of civic sense. The students were asked to rate their teams. The students were then handed over sheets and were asked to fill in their SMART goals post which Dr. Ghosh discussed the developmental areas to be worked upon. Overall, the session was highly interactive and engaging and was beneficial in getting an understanding of Human Resources in a practical and engaging manner.
