Event Name: 77 th Independence Day Celebrations 2023

Objective: To celebrate the journey of freedom and embrace the unity that continues to define our nation.

Outcome: By organizing this event, we ensured that all families of Symbiosis Hyderabad came together as a community to celebrate the dawn of a new day and honor the sacrifice of our forefathers.

Mélange- The Organizing Committee hosted the Independence Day celebrations in the auditorium on 15 th August 2023.

Exactly 76 years ago, 15th August 1947 was the day when our freedom fighters got what they had sacrificed their lives for.

The day kickstarted with a spirited Prabhat Pheri, organized by Dauntless- The Sports and Wellness Committee, SIBM-H, which started from the main gate to the Academic Block, where the flag was hoisted.

Everyone was dressed up in beautiful traditional attire. The environment itself was very colorful and energetic.

The flag was hoisted by SIBM-H Director, Dr. K.P. Venugopala Rao, Deputy Director, Dr. Shyamsundar Chitta, Campus Administrator Col.Balaji Dayal (Retd), Director of SLS, Dr. Santosh Aghav, and the MBA batch topper of 2022-2024, Ms. Shamrin Shakin.

After the flag hoisting, everyone proceeded towards the auditorium for the rest of the event.

The event began with a musical performance by Hunar from SCMS, which created an atmosphere of unity and patriotism. It was followed by a speech by the Director of SIBM-H, Dr. K.P. Venugopala Rao who gave us a beautiful insight about our nation.

The musical interludes continued to enchant, as SIBM-Hyderabad's own musical ensemble Team Aaroh of Antardhwani- The Cultural Club of SIBM-H graced the stage, serenading the audience with a harmonious showcase.

Not to be outdone, Hunar from SCMS returned, adding yet another layer of auditory delight to the event.

Now came the moment for a speech by the Director of SLS, Dr. Santosh Aghav, who seamlessly intertwined his experiences and encapsulated the spirit of the occasion.

The spotlight turned to the exceptional musical talent of SLS Hyderabad as their band All Strings Attached from SLS took center stage.

The moment had arrived for the audience to be enriched with the words of Campus Administrator Col. Balaji Dayal (Retd). His speech was a tapestry of stories, anecdotes, and profound insights drawn from his extensive journey.

Campus Administrator Col. Balaji Dayal (Retd) presented awards and prizes to staff members from various departments in recognition of their exceptional dedication, hard work, and achievements throughout the year.

The next performance by Team Vibe of Antardhwani- The Cultural Club of SIBM- Hyderabad was not just a display of skillful dancing; it was a representation of unity, creativity and enthusiasm.

With each beat of their music, the Dance team of SLS too effortlessly told a story through their dance. Their expressions mirrored the emotions they sought to convey, be it joy, passion, or even moments of introspection.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Aditya Shettigar, the President Student Council, SIBM-H. He expressed his gratitude to all the attendees, participants, committees, and the audience who contributed towards the success of the event.

In the end, Independence Day serves as a potent reminder that freedom is a precious gift that comes with the responsibility to ensure its longevity for generations to come. As we continue our journey, let us carry forward the spirit of patriotism, unity, and progress that defines this significant day.
