• Users are required to present ID cards while entering and are advised not to carry any personal belongings.
• While entering and at the time of leaving the library everyone must enter their details in the system kept at the entrance.
• While entering the library, users should keep their personal belongings like Text Books, Issued Books, Personal Copies, Magazines, Newspaper, Laptop, Bags etc., on the luggage racks. Users can carry their laptops in reading areas. Users are responsible for all personal possessions including wallets, mobiles etc., All users are requested to keep their mobiles switched off or in silent mode when they are in the Library.
• Students Can borrow up to 4 books from the shelf in all categories excluding reference books for 15 days. It can be renewed twice, if there is no demand for the same book.
• All the users will receive every transaction alert through an email about the due date/issue/return/renewal of the books. Despite of this if the books are not returned on the due date, students have to pay overdue charge of Rs.2/- per day per book.
• Book Bank Books will be issued to every student for the entire semester.
• The documents taken for photocopying must be returned within the same day.
• In case a Book/Magazine/Journal/CD is lost; the borrower has to replace the same with the latest Edition/Version of the material. If the copy is out of print, then the user has to pay the cost of the material along with the overdue amount.
• If a book from a multi-volume set is damaged or lost, the member shall be liable to replace the whole set or pay the cost of the same.
• Borrowers are advised to return the books in good condition, should not deface, mark, cut, highlight, underline, mutilate or damage Library resources in any manner. Anyone found doing so, will be charged the full replacement cost of the resource. It is the responsibility of the user that the books borrowed must be protected from RAIN, DUST, INSECTS, etc.
• Loose issues and bound volumes of periodicals will not be issued.
• Library staff has the authority to deny the usage of Library premises &/or resources in case he/she finds inappropriate behavior.
• In case members wish to bring their personal reading resources to the Library premises; they have to inform the library staff and display the same while entering and at the time of leaving the library.
• Users those who are leaving the Library must stop at the exit point so that the material borrowed or taken out by them can be checked by the person at the counter.
• Books removed from the shelves by students, if not required for reference, must be kept on the table nearest to them. Please do not try to shelve them by yourself.
• The newspaper(s) are available on the newspaper stand for reading. Do not cut any part of the paper.
• Students are advised to issue books on their own cards only. Disciplinary action shall be taken if the staff finds the subscription rights being misused.
• Beverages and Eatables are not allowed inside the Library.
• No photography allowed inside the Library premises without prior permission of the Librarian.
• Library reserves the right to call back any issued book/item at any time.
• Students are advised to come to the Library in proper attire. In case the Library staff finds the attire inappropriate he/she may be asked to leave the Library premises.
• The Librarian reserves the right to suspend the membership of any member found misbehaving, abusing the Library staff or behaving in an indecent manner.
• Reader’s suggestion appreciated and are always welcome. Readers desirous to suggest or recommend any title/book or other additions to the library collection may do so by recommending the same through proper channel/endorsed by one of the faculty member OR through Koha from your account.
• Important notice and information regarding the library as well as changes, if any, will be notified from time to time on the library notice boards and through group mail.
