Event Name: AAVEG XIV

Objective: AAVEG aims to provide a platform for sports enthusiasts to confront challenges with unwavering determination, showcasing unparalleled strength and resilience. Through this event, their goal was to inspire participants to push beyond their limits, shatter barriers, and unlock their true potential by participating in various sports activities.

Outcome: The platform provided by AAVEG delivered an enriching experience to our institution’s students. The participants had an opportunity to showcase their sports abilities. Through participation in various sports events, they realized their strengths and areas of improvement in sports. The event’s most significant outcome was that participants gained valuable insights into teamwork, motivation and effectively managing their performance under pressure.

Event: Table Tennis

The table tennis event (both men and women categories) organized by team VAAPS in collaboration with AAVEG was conducted from December 2 nd , 2023 – December 3 rd , 2023. The participants under the male category were Aryan Mehta and Kaustav Chakravarty. The participant under the female category was Shubhangi Singh.

Men’s Category Table Tennis Event.

(SIBM-H v/s IBS Hyderabad)

The men’s event commenced with a league round, featuring all participants playing each other once. Out of the 12 participants, the top 8 qualified for the quarterfinals. The subsequent rounds included the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals. Aryan Mehta advanced to the quarterfinals, while the remaining participants were eliminated in the initial round. The event was marked by intense competition highlighting the participant’s dedication and competitive spirit.

Women’s Category Table Tennis Event.

Shubhangi Singh represented SIBM-H under women’s category. The women’s table tennis event also commenced with a league round; three participants competed. The format involved the top two players advancing to the finals. Despite the commendable effort, the competition proved challenging hence SIBM-H was unable to secure a position in the finals.

Event: Women’s Throwball

The Women’s Throwball event organized by team VAAPS in collaboration with AAVEG was conducted from December 1st , 2023 – December 3 rd , 2023.

In the women’s Throwball event, 11 participants took part in a league match against four teams. In the finals, the SIBM-H Throwball team showcased an outstanding performance with excellent teamwork, securing the runner-up position against their opponent, IBS Hyderabad. This marked a historic moment for SIBM- H, as their first women’s team clinched the prize in their inaugural tournament.

Event: Men’s Volleyball

The Men’s Volleyball event organized by team VAAPS in collaboration with AAVEG was conducted from December 1st , 2023 – December 3rd, 2023.

In the men’s volleyball tournament, a squad of eight players represented SIBM-H, participating in a league match against three opposing teams. The team showcased commendable teamwork and resilience, securing victory in one of their matches. However, despite strong determination and strategic efforts, the team faced defeat against the VJIM institution in a closely contested match.
