Event Name: Bollywood Mela 2023

Objective: To provide an unforgettable evening of entertainment by providing interactive sessions and activities that allow participants to experience the joy and excitement of Bollywood. This also tries to fulfil the objective of providing a break from the academic sessions so the students feel refreshed and ready to take on the semester.

Outcome: The event successfully delivered an immersive and enriching experience that exuberantly celebrated the vibrant and colourful world of Bollywood. Through a meticulously crafted program, it captivated and engaged the audience, leaving an indelible mark of joy and satisfaction. Attendees were treated to a mesmerizing journey that not only entertained but also enriched their understanding of Bollywood's cultural significance. Moreover, it served as a much-needed avenue for relaxation, allowing students to unwind and rejuvenate amidst the festivities. In conclusion, the event achieved its goal of creating a positive, memorable, and successful occasion that brought the spirit of Bollywood to life while providing a platform for both entertainment and relaxation for the attendees.

On the vibrant evening of August 28, 2023, the campus of SIBM Hyderabad was aglow with the spirit of Bollywood as Mélange - The Organizing Committee, SIBM Hyderabad, orchestrated the enthralling "Bollywood Mela", at 7:30 PM on 28th August, 2023 in the Auditorium of SIU, Hyderabad campus. The event unfolded in the grandeur of the campus auditorium, delivering a captivating journey through the enchanting world of Indian cinema.

The curtains lifted as the charismatic anchors took the stage with the dramatic flair of Bollywood, setting the tone for an evening of cinematic splendour and entertainment.

The event kicked off with an engaging Emoji Game, challenging the audience to decipher famous Bollywood movie titles through cleverly designed emojis. As the students solved the puzzles, laughter and enthusiasm filled the room.

The next game, titled 'Aasman se gira, Khajoor pe atka,' piqued everyone's creativity. Participants reimagined iconic Bollywood dialogues with a hilarious twist, demonstrating their wit and humor.

Between activities, the crowd engagement reached its peak as students shared their love for Bollywood, anecdotes, and memories, creating an atmosphere brimming with shared passion. The results of the earlier game were announced amidst much excitement.

The event escalated with the start of the Mega Contest, which consisted of three rounds in total. The first round was 'DialogueBaaz, DrameBaaz Aur DilemmaBaaz,' where participants showcased their prowess in Bollywood knowledge by guessing and emulating famous dialogues from muted Bollywood movie scenes. The stage was filled with vibrant performances that captured Bollywood's flair.

Mega Contest Round 2 – “Nayak Ya Khalnayak” brought up mention of various Bollywood heroes, heroines and villains, as participants had to name different movies based on the names of actors and actresses, as well as names of iconic villains in rapid-fire rounds. Following that, a touch of glamour filled the air as the 'Best Dressed' awards were presented to participants who brought their favourite Bollywood characters to life through their attire.

The third Mega Contest round, 'Jo Jeeta Wo Sikandar,' was a tribute to Bollywood's triumphs, as participants engaged in a game where they had to guess iconic movies based on representative movie props/items shown to them.

Anticipation reached its peak as the results of the Mega Contest were disclosed, lauding the talent and the Bollywood knowledge displayed by the participants.

The event drew to a close with a heartwarming vote of thanks extended by the Deputy Head of Mélange, Aditi Srivastava, expressing gratitude to all attendees and the Mélange members for making the Bollywood Mela a remarkable success.

As the night fell, the musical night of Bollywood songs started from 9 pm. This provided a melodious conclusion to the enchanting Bollywood journey.
