Report

The Cultural Diversity and Inclusion event began with sending a registration Google form to juniors via the WhatsApp group. HR members promoted the event within the group, resulting in 36 registrations, meeting expectations. Points of Contact (POCs) were assigned to participants from their respective regions to ensure a smooth and consistent event flow. Nine POCs were tasked with creating WhatsApp groups consisting of four participants each, with the Head and Deputy Head as admins.

The event commenced at 8:00 PM, with students gathering outside the convention hall for attendance, managed by Discipline & Anti – Ragging Committee. While attendance was being taken, POCs arranged chairs according to the groups, and Melange - The Organizing Committee provided technical support. Pratibimb – The Photography club was present for event photography. The event started with brief introductions from the Head and Deputy Head, followed by disciplinary instructions to maintain decorum during the flash mob activity.

The event began with crowd engagement and seamlessly transitioned to inviting participants to choose chits and announce their group number and region aloud. The group named in the chit had to perform on stage according to the region mentioned. POCs of the respective groups assisted participants with dance moves, providing one minute for preparation and one minute for performance. After each performance, one group member stayed back to share unique aspects and raise awareness about the specified region.

The event concluded with a discussion involving the audience about their insights gained from the activity. Attendees shared their opinions, and the Head and Deputy Head wrapped up the event with a message emphasizing the importance of spreading diversity and fostering unity within the institute, irrespective of caste, color, creed, region, or religion.
