Event Name: Deliberations – Debate Activity

Objective: To conduct a Debate Activity and give the students an opportunity to express their opinions and hone their debating skills, thus inculcating the culture of a healthy debate.

Outcome: As a part of the debate activity, the students of SIBM - H were given an opportunity to compete against their peers to hone their debating skills, thus inculcating a culture of constructive debate and in - class learning.

InkSleuths- The Literary Committee of SIBM Hyderabad organised a debate activity under the guidance of LRC on 11 th September 2023. Dr. V K Satya Prasad, Assistant Professor, Faculty in charge of LRC, SIBM Hyderabad and Dr. Riddhi Rani, Assistant Professor HR, Faculty in charge Shakti - Women Development and Social Responsibility Cell, SIBM, Hyderabad moderated the event.

The Debate Activity consisted of two rounds. The first round was a group discussion with the topic “Role of technology in improving quality of life.”

Out of 5 teams that participated, 2 teams were qualified for the final round and the topic for the final round was “Remote work: A final step in work life balance or a productivity challenge?”

All the participants and audience were indulged and enthusiastic throughout the activity. The event ended with the moderators announcing ‘Team Wisdom Wizards’ as the winners and ‘Team The Vanguards’ as the runners - up for the activity.
