On July 14, 2022, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management-Hyderabad, held International Students’ Day,
on the occasion of the 87th birthday of the Founder and President of Symbiosis International (Deemed
University),
Dr. Shantaram Balwant Mujumdar.
The event witnessed the guest of honour for the evening Dr. Geoffrey Clements, Chairman of Commonwealth
Infrastructure Partners,
UK along with Dr. K P Venugopala Rao, Director SIBM-Hyderabad and Dr. Tanmoy
De, Head of Student Activities, SIBM Hyderabad.

The event commenced with the Director of SIBM-Hyderabad, Dr. K P Venugopala Rao’s address to the
students.
He talked about our Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) & Founder and President,
Symbiosis,
Prof.
Dr. Shantaram Balwant Mujumdar and how he has laid the foundation with the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam-
“The world is one family”.
Then Professor. Geoffrey Clements talked about his experience at SIBM- Hyderabad and highlighted about the
publication
of the new education policy, 2020.
He also emphasised project-based learning such as peer-to-peer learning while discussing
the new avenues
in the learning process of the students.
In his conversation, he also embraced the idea of diversification
in any university and Symbiosis is
able to fulfil that fruitfully.

This was followed by a soulful performance by Mr Kushal Budathoki, an international student at
SIBM-Hyderabad.
Then, during the interactive session, the international alumni shared their experiences and their insightful
advice
along with some of their memories with the current batch at SIBM- Hyderabad.
Performance by Team Aaroh
The event proceeded with, Team Aaroh, the music vertical of Anthardwani - the Cultural Club of SIBM
Hyderabad,
scintillating the audience with their group performance.
As we drew closer to the conclusion, Dr. Tanmoy De, Head of Student Activities, SIBM Hyderabad, gave the
closing
remarks, followed by the Vote of Thanks delivered by
Mr. Md. Ashhar Hussain, Head of Public Relations and Web Committee, SIBM Hyderabad.
