Objective: To create awareness about government financial schemes among villagers.

Outcome: Spread knowledge regarding effective management of money & debt to expose villagers regarding various existing financial choices in India.

The Report

Shakti: Women Development & Social Responsibility Cell of SIBM Hyderabad organised an outreach program on “Financial Literacy” on 26^th February 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am which was done in Mamidipalle. The objective of the programme was to create awareness about the government’s different financial schemes among villagers & enhance their financial management knowledge.

Team members of Shakti went to the village & address the gatherings about schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Jan Suraksha, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Stand Up Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana, Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme, Financial Awareness Program.

The event commenced with a welcome address by gathering the villagers at one meeting point & making them know about the new initiative by the Symbiosis International University of Y-20 Summit where financial literacy was the main aim.

Moving ahead team Shakti interacted with villagers to resolve their confusion & grievances after completing the addressing of government schemes. The response came positively from the villagers.

Moving toward the end, Shakti team members went door-to-door in the entire village to distribute Y-20 financial literacy pamphlets & interacted with them.

Overall, the villagers were grateful to learn information and details regarding the financial knowledge of government schemes through team Shakti.
