We, as the members of the photography club, seek to display our love for photography. No event is complete without a series of wonderful pictures capturing every moment of joy and happiness, and we the Pratibimb – The Photography Club are armed with our cameras and artistic eye.

Mission

Our mission at Pratibimb Photography Club is to provide opportunity for members and others with a wide range of photographic experience and interest to come together regularly to share, learn and develop skills in an environment that fosters and encourages the growth of artistic vision and technical excellence.

Vision

To make Pratibimb Photography Club of SIBM Hyderabad the best among all management colleges. It strives for an open learning environment where those with experience can share their knowledge with others who share a passion and enthusiasm for the art of photography and aims to promote collaboration, interaction, friendship and mutual love and care among members through the art of photography.

Objectives

To help our members master the fascinating Art & Science of Photography.
To organise enthralling events regarding Photography like photo competitions and exhibits.
To provide an opportunity to maximize the knowledge about photography and learn new things concerning photography.
To provide a meeting place of members to share their love and passion for photography.
Create a learning environment to share skills and experience.
Promote the club and its members though public exhibits and displays.
To provide instruction in the use of camera equipment and in photographic techniques.
To disseminate new scientific and technical information in the field of photography.
To give the members of the club an opportunity to test their photography skills outside of the college environment with each other.
To promote photography throughout the campus by posting pictures taken by the club on social websites to demonstrate the photography skills of the members of the club.

Guest Lecture

A guest lecture was conducted by Mr. Sarath Raj on the topic “Essence of photography in Management” on the 7th of January, 2022.

It was an insightful session that raised awareness about the fundamentals of photography, as well as in enlightening the students on product photography. It also educated the audience on how photography plays a vital role in storytelling and how it affects marketing campaigns.

Snap-sthetic

As a part of Firande, a Photography competition named ‘Snap-sthetic’ was conducted which commenced on 24th January and ended on 9th February 2022.

The participants were asked to give in their entries by submitting the photographs on the theme “Colours of Life”. This was followed by storytelling round wherein the participants depicted a story through a set of photographs which was then posted on the official Pratibimb Instagram handle. The results were based on the insights that were received from the photographs.
