Event Name: Shutter Star
Objective:
The purpose of this event was to create a comfortable environment for the students of the batch 2024-26 to express their creativity and imagination while managing time in an enjoyable manner.
Outcome:
The students were able to connect with one another by showing their quick-thinking skills and photography skills, making the event an effective way to introduce the new batch and encourage conversation. The event was immensely anticipated and successfully executed
Pratibimb – the Photography Club of SIBM Hyderabad, conducted Shutter Star event as a part of Induction Programme 2024-2026 for the new batch on 13th June 2024 at the Convention Hall around 6:00 P.M. Head of Pratibimb along with Second – in Command moderated the whole event along with the teammates as POCs.
All the teams were supposed to select one chit and solve the riddle to understand the emotion and click pictures matching the emotions and submit it with a caption along with it. 15 minutes were allotted to every team for clicking pictures, writing caption and submitting it within the timeframe.
Also for crowd engagement, we introduce some Bollywood quizzes to the crowd, so they also can enjoy the event being the part of audience.
Head of Pratibimb and Second – in Command moderating the event
There was a total of eight teams. Every team had 3 participants each. To select the location and theme for each team, there was a bidding session organized. All the teams were shown a PowerPoint presentation where all the themes and locations were disclosed. Every team had 100 points which they could use in whatever proportion to bid on one theme and one location they would like to buy. The team with the highest bidding for a particular theme and location was allotted the same. Each team also had an option to reserve some of the points which could be later added in their final score.
After all the teams got their respective emotions the POCs took them to their locations where the teams had to click 2 pictures and provide one caption for the same. They were told that the pictures should resonate with the given theme and location.

Every team was very competent. The judging criteria included 5 points for caption, 10 points for the picture and 5 points for the emotion's relevance to the picture. The event proved to be a resounding success. The range of activities, friendly competition, and the enthusiastic participation of students created a joyous and memorable experience. The event not only provided a fun-filled day for the students but also fostered a sense of community as well as team coordination.
