Campus Tour

The beautiful campus of SIBM Hyderabad is nestled in a quiet corner in the suburbs of Hyderabad, surrounded by natural beauty. Off the national highway, it is a cozy ride to the 40-acre campus. It is a very different world as soon as we step through the gate. The first thing sight to greet the gust is a delightful little green canopy. Trees and hedges surround the circle full of colourful flowers, it is an oasis of calmness.

Directly to the right, we find the circular-shaped Academic Block building. This building, in its majestic sweep, houses the classrooms, libraries, reading rooms, computer labs, lecture theatres, offices of the faculty, and so much more. It is truly where the young minds have a place to grow. The classrooms are equipped with the latest digital technology. The libraries are popular with the students, filled with books, journals, reports, newspapers, magazines and more. Knowledge and information are never lacking.

Reading rooms greatly complement libraries, where students can work and study in a comfortable environment. Computer laboratories, allow the students to learn the usage of modern software required in today’s corporate world. Easily accessible faculty offices ensure that students can easily reach their professors for any need. All in all, the Academic Block is built for intellectual discourse.

Moving left from the Academic Block, we find the striking auditorium. It can house approximately 1500 people at once. The preferred venue for all significant events of the institution, this auditorium is highly advanced in its equipment which enhances the esteem of any event. The building also has a Convention Hall, a room perfect for a smaller audience than the main auditorium.

Right next to the auditorium are the Shopping Complex, Cafeteria, Administrative Offices, Health Centre, Gym and Indoor Games Room, all housed in a sprawling building. The Shopping Complex offers all the necessary shops required by the students and the Cafeteria is not just a place for meals for the students but a place to bond and even work or study with friends. The Gym and the Indoor Games Room, along with the open terrace, give the students a place to be active and indulge in their favourite sports and athletic activities. The Health Centre is the place to get medical check-ups done and has a doctor and nurse on duty with ambulances for any emergency. With huge spaces among the building complex, out-door sporting activities are abundant. Volleyball courts, basketball courts, football fields and badminton courts satisfy every student’s adrenaline.

Off to one side of the Shopping Complex is the most popular spot of all, the open Amphitheatre. It is highly favoured by students to host events throughout the year here as it comprises a concrete stage and seating steps. It is also majorly visited during sunset for extraordinary views.

The rest of the campus houses two boys’ and two girls’ hostels. The five story hostels, with thirty rooms on each floor, have a pantry room with refrigerators, microwaves and induction cooktops for the students. With new buildings under construction, student comfort will only grow. The campus, despite many buildings id designed to have lots of open spaces and lawns. Trees are plentiful here, and it is truly a green campus, lush with natural beauty.
