1) Our student Ms. Sakshi had the privilege of meeting the esteemed J A Chowdary (JA) sir (Key Architect, Indian Tech Industry Chairperson & Convenor, India Startup Festival) during the event. She mustered the courage to showcase one of her artworks, and to her delight, he appreciated her initiative and the work she presented. Little did she know that this small step would lead to an extraordinary opportunity.
Mr. JA Chowdary's belief in her potential led to a remarkable invitation – an offer to set up her very own stall at the prestigious India Startup Festival main event in Bangalore, an opportunity she could hardly fathom but was determined to seize.
The India Startup Festival in Bangalore was an immersive experience like no other. With over 10,000 startups, 500+ investors, and venture capitalists in attendance, the atmosphere was electrifying with innovation and entrepreneurial energy.
These three days were a whirlwind of learning – from perfecting her pitch, absorbing valuable feedback, forging meaningful connections, to gleaning insights from seasoned professionals. Each interaction laid the foundation for her growth and development.
Representing Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Hyderabad at the event was a matter of immense pride for her. She is deeply grateful to Mr. J A Chowdary (JA), Mr. Achyut Yerragangu (Founder CEO, Nature Quotient Ventures, Co-Founder & Joint Managing Trustee India Startup Foundation), and Dr. Siva Mahesh Tangutooru (Founder CEO, Jama Botanics & TurfPearl Agritech, Co-founder & Managing Trustee India Startup Foundation) for believing in her and providing this extraordinary platform.

2) Our student Ms. Bhumika Bais, Head of Humanalaya – The HR Club of MBA Batch 2023-25, represented SIBM Hyderabad and secured 1st prize in National Management Fest NETRTVA – A case study competition organized by Agragami - HR CLUB of Institute of Public Enterprise, for their flagship event SANSKRITI’24. The competition consisted of 3 rounds, where Ms. Bhumika got through all the rounds and emerged as a winner. The rounds consisted of the activities related to HR specialization and finally a Case study was provided where she showcased her strong analytical, presentation and problem – solving skills making her the winner. Our students Ms. Bhumika Bais and Ms. Aatmaja Rajesh, members of Humanalaya – The HR Club, represented SIBM Hyderabad and emerged as winners for the Case study competition organized by IBS-Hyderabad under their flagship event TRISHNA, in January 2024. Both of them made through all 3 rounds in the final round, they presented a well - developed Training and Development Plan for the Healthcare Interns in the Healthcare industry, within a time frame of 30 minutes. 3) Akshay Prasad, a student of the MBA Batch of 2023-25 at SIBM Hyderabad, demonstrated exceptional versatility and talent throughout his academic journey. Despite being selected until the penultimate round by the Innovation Council of SIBM Pune, Akshay faced an unfortunate scheduling conflict with his end-term examinations, preventing him from advancing further in the competition. Akshay's extracurricular achievements are noteworthy. He secured 2nd position in Table Tennis during Elysium, the inter-college competition organized by SIBM Hyderabad. Additionally, his flair for fashion was evident as he clinched the 2nd position in Fusion Vogue, an inter-college fashion competition held during Firande, also organized by SIBM Hyderabad. In the realm of entrepreneurship, Akshay's innovative pitch earned him the title of "People's Favorite" in Pitch Perfect 2.0, an event conducted by SCEI Samarthya, the Entrepreneurship Cell of SIBM Hyderabad. His entrepreneurial spirit was further recognized when he was selected for the Xartup Fellowship Programme after presenting his startup idea, highlighting his potential as a future business leader.

Inquizitive: The Gen Quiz
Two of our MBA students, Mr. Anubhav Dixit and Mr. Kishan Pallav, took part in the intercollegiate "Inquizitive: The Gen Quiz," which was arranged as a part of the annual "Avenues 23" festival by the Shailesh J Mehta School of Management at IIT Bombay.
There are two rounds to the quiz: preliminary and final rounds, which were conducted offline on campus. Following their success in Round 1 (online), our students proceeded to the SJMSM-IIT Bombay campus to take part in Round 2. One of the six teams chosen for the Finals, they participated in the Round 2 Prelims alongside 150 other teams. Three teams from IIT Bombay, one from the Indian Institute of Management Bombay, and Welingkar Mumbai made up the final round of teams. Students from SIBM Hyderabad gave tough competition to these teams and it was a fun experience.

A Sustainability Quiz has been scheduled for December 16, 2023, by HMA and NMDC. Our qualified team will participate in the next round of competition, which is set for the final week of January 2024.
Pitch Perfect
The SIBM Hyderabad E Cell has organized a competition called "Pitch Perfect" focused on business ideation. Five Students each had a presentation of their idea in front of a guest or judge from outside. This program encourages student entrepreneurship and may lead to an interest in it.

It gives us immense pleasure to share the recent achievements that the cultural club of our college has managed to attain for our college. The hardwork, passion, zeal of our students is seen across several events, competitions that has resulted in the cultural club ‘Antardhwani’ bringing laurels for our institute.

INTERCOLLEGIATE CULTURAL FEST – IMT HYDERABAD
The dance team left no stone unturned as they managed to secure runners-up position in IMT Hyderabad’s group dance category in their fest Impelz held on 6th December, 2019. The team conveyed the message of hoe gaming addiction leads to mental health issues sometimes leading to suicide through an impactful dance performance.

FIRANDE 4.0
The drama team ‘Abhnay’ of Antardhwani managed to secure runners-up position in the ‘Nukkad Natak’ competition ‘Kalakari’ during Firande 4.0 held on 6th January, 2020. The team was praised for taking up the sensitive topic of ‘Acid-Attack’ victims and how they are treated in the society.
The Music team of ‘Antardhwani’ managed to mesmerize the audiences with their melodious performance and secured Runners-up position in the musical eveny ‘Saaz’ held on 6th January, 2020 during Firande 4.0.
In the duet singing category, Akshaya TV and Anjana Rajendran managed to enthrall the audience with their beautiful voices. The duo secured runners up position in Firande 4.0 held on 6th January, 2020.
The ‘Antardhwani Dance Team’ made everyone spellbound with their bold and courageous performance on a sensitive topic that depicted the treatment meted out to transgenders in the society. The impactful performance led to securing first position in the group dance category during Firande 4.0 on the 7th January, 2020.
The fashion team of Antardhwani set the stage on fire as they walked the ramp with grace, style and panache leading to first position in Firande 4.0.
INTERCOLLEGIATE CULTURAL FEST – NMIMS HYDERABAD
The drama team of SIBM Hyderabad made us proud by securing first position in the ‘Nukkad Natak’ competition held in NMIMS Hyderabad on the 10th of January, 2020. The team managed to create a strong impact and convey a powerful message on the state of ‘Acid-Attack’ victims.
INTERCOLLEGIATE CULTURAL FEST- SIBM PUNE
The drama team of SIBM Hyderabad made us proud by securing first position in the ‘Street Play Competition’ held in SIBM PUNE on the 24th January, 2020.
The Dramatics Vertical of Antardhwani – Team Abhinaya took the social evil of acid attack, the name of the act is “Ek Boond Abhishap” which shows the hardships faced by acid attack survivors. We covered various incidents of acid attack and how it affected them throughout the life. Our act was critically acclaimed by the judge to for being Bold and creative in delivering awareness on such a sensitive issue. We were given very valuable feedback on our performance and what were the key points that needed our attention.
For our exemplary performance Team Abhinaya of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Hyderabad was awarded the first position with a cash prize of 15,000/-
SIBM Hyderabad shines at CMO Summit’16
Sales Pitch; a sales training and consulting firm organized CMO (Chief Marketing Officers) Summit’2016 on 10.12.16 at Hotel Fortune Vallabha, Hyderabad. The summit was aimed at providing an excellent learning platform for sales professional and management students.
For corporates, it was aimed at enhancing their sales team performance and results, while for B-schools, it was to make students industry ready. There was a panel discussion also organized on the topic “Impact of Demonetisation on Sales Revenue”. The panelists were leaders from industries like Vodafone, Britannia, Freedom Oil, Panasonic, Danone etc.
The participants from corporates as well as B-schools had to make and submit paper presentation on “Digital Sales Vs Traditional Sales”. From B-schools, the following institutes had participated,
Top 2 teams each from corporates as well as management colleges were chosen to make the paper presentation at the venue. Out of five colleges, NMIMS-H and SIBM-H were selected
Ms. Sowmya (Marketing: 2016-18) and Mr. RupeshJha (Marketing:2015-17) as a team presented at the forum and bagged the award and certificates for the best presentation beating NMIMS-H.
Inter-SIU Chess Championship

Introduction
The Badminton team of SIBM Hyderabad represented the college in the Inter SIU Badminton tournament held at SIU Lavale campus in Pune, from 4th to 6th August, 2015. The trip was a huge success for the students as they got to interact with and compete against students from various SIU institutes and also gained valuable experience from the same. The boys team fared well in the tournament and were able to successfully beat their opponents in the first and second rounds in well contested matches on the first day of the tournament. On the second day, the team was defeated in a tough match and knocked out in the third round of the tournament.
Girls
The girls team put up a good fight, but were knocked out in the first round against tough opposition, i.e., SCMS Pune. The girls were able to win their singles matches but lost out after being defeated in the doubles round.
Conclusion
In spite of the defeats, both the teams were in good spirits and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to successfully represent the college at the SIU level. The students definitely gained some valuable experience through the course of the tournament and will be looking forward to participating and achieving success in the next tournament. Abhijeet Bose, due to his excellent performance in the tournament, was called for trials to represent the SIU Badminton team to compete in the All India University Level.

The chess team of SIBM Hyderabad represented the college in the Inter SIU Chess Championship held at SIU Lavale campus in Pune, on the 19th& 20thAugust, 2015. The trip was a huge success for the students as they got to interact with and compete against students from various SIU institutes and also gained valuable experience from the same.
The Symbiosis Inter-Institute Chess Tournament was held at Lavale Campus on 19th and 20th August 2015. A total of 4 students represented SIBM-H, namely,

Day 1-Individuals
Day 2-Team Championship
In the Individual tournament (held on 19th August), Aditya Udeshi secured the first position, scoring 7 wins out of 7 matches thus played. He stood victorious among a total of 83 participants from the different colleges of SIU.
In the team championship event however, SIBM-H was not as successful as the team managed to secure the 6th position among a total of 16 various colleges from SIU.
Conclusion
In spite of not being able to win the team event, the team was in good spirits and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to successfully represent the college at the SIU level.
Moreover, Aditya Udeshi was chosen to represent and named captain of the Symbiosis International University (SIU) Chess Team for the Inter Institute West Zone Chess Tournament.
'PERIODOS’ Inter Collage Sports competition IMT Hyd
“Periodos-15” is the annual sports festival conducted by IMT – Hyderabad. The pioneer batch of college in 2013 came up with the idea of bringing together students from B-Schools across India so they bond over sports. Within a month, they were ready with what was to be the first inter-college competition organized in IMT – Hyderabad.
The event held on 16th, 17th and 18th of January 2015. The events lined up were sure to get the adrenaline levels sky rocketing. Young sportsmen and women battled it out in cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, throw ball and online gaming. There were around 300 participants from 7 colleges which include IFMR Chennai, Great Lakes Chennai, IBS Hyderabad, NMIMS Hyderabad, SIBM Hyderabad, NICMAR Pune, and NICMAR Hyderabad.

‘Trishna’ Inter Collage Cultural Fest IBS Hyd
Trishna is the Annual B-School Management and Cultural Festival of IBS Hyderabad. Trishna attracts participants from all reputed B-Schools across the country. Various management competitions, cultural, and entertainment events and recreation activities are held during Trishna. The 30 active clubs catering to 2000 management students promise nothing but an experience that will leave students wanting for more. This time, the fest was for three whole days from January 16 to 18, 2015.
The 3 day mega management fest was structured to comprise competitive events across various spheres such as Finance, Marketing, Information Technology, Human Resources, Operations and Flagship domains. Evenings during Trishna were as eventful as the mornings. Students run curricular and co-curricular activities and umpteen numbers of fun events to ensure that our B School friends from all over the nation let their brains relax and dive into the mood of carnival and get rejuvenated for the next morning tussle.
Harithon
Harithon is a Green Run organized by Plant 3 Protection Alliance(P3PA) to promote Eco-Friendly ways for a better living. P3PA is an NGO, started by students on 19th December 2009, in Hyderabad, with an objective to save our dear earth and have a Green & Clean environment. Every year, P3PA hosts different Eco-friendly activities like mass plantations, cleaning campaigns, awareness activities like green run, giving away recyclable products(Organic Shirts) etc.
We have successfully participated of this green run and will work toward structuring Symbiosis event for society.
